What could be more relaxing? Most Caribbean spas are resort spas, with luscious accommodations and plenty of activities. Yoga is offered at most, along with water sports, horseback riding, or any number of other fun and relaxing pursuits. These are not, for the most part, weight-loss destination spas. The focus is on your vacation, and spa treatments can - and should - be a part of it. 
One of the things I like best about visiting a spa in another part of the world is enjoying the different treatments offered at each. Local products are used in the beauty treatments (try a crushed coffee bean scrub in Puerto Rico) as well as in the healthful cuisine at an all inclusive spa. Enjoy a hike through a rainforest or horseback riding on the beach while you're on vacation in the Caribbean, then head back to the spa for a relaxing massage or facial treatment. Laze around on the beach, work on your tan (safely, of course!) - but if you get a burn, there are treatments that can help to soothe and soften your skin. Why not hit the beach for your next vacation, and stay at a spa resort? In some cases, you don't even need a passport to visit the Caribbean - there's nothing stopping you!
