Facial Spa Treatment Guide

A facial spa treatment is the ultimate beauty or skin treatment.

You can get a skin care facial at almost any spa. A beauty day spa is a great place to start. You'll find a wide variety of treatments to improve the appearance of your skin. I love to visit a local day spa when on vacation and have a facial treatment using local ingredients that I wouldn't be able to enjoy at home!

Many medical spas specialize in a variety of wrinkle treatments and facial hair removal - anything that can help you have younger, smoother skin!

Whether you're looking for a treatment that will polish your skin, reduce the appearance of lines, or just make you look and feel great, head for a spa! Treatments may include exfoliation, moisturizing, and/or "filling" lines and wrinkles for a smoother appearance.

Many facial treatments require a licensed profession for your safety and for the best results.

This guide will describe different facial treatments - often with videos to demonstrate the technique and show you what to expect at the spa.

• Botox Injections - the "Cadillac" of wrinkle treatments, this injection relaxes muscles and reduces the appearance of lines in the face.

• Facial Electrolysis - using electricity to "kill" the hair follicle.

• Glycolic Peel and Exfoliation - a chemical means of exfoliating and removing dead skin cells.

• Laser Hair Removal - the use of laser light and it's heat to "kill" the hair follicle.

• Facial Microdermabrasion - a physical method of exfoliation, "scrubbing" the dead skin cells off the skin.
