One of our easiest homemade spa recipes, all it takes is 3 simple ingredients.
The lime juice and honey in the facial will cleanse and smooth your skin and minimize the appearance of pores. The cucumbers are cool and refreshing - and taking a break while it takes effect is a bonus!
This is a nice, cooling facial that's great for summer.
Cooling Cucumber Facial from Thailand
• 1 cup plain honey
• 10 drops fresh lime juice
• 1 medium cucumber, sliced thinly
- Cleanse your face with warm water and mild soap or cleanser. Use a washcloth for mild exfoliation if needed.
- Mix the honey and lime juice and apply the mixuture to your face, massaging it for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the honey mixture from your face with cool water (use a soft cloth if needed).
- Lie down and place the thin cucumber slices over your entire face, including the eyes. The cucumber slices should overlap.
- Relax and practice deep breathing for 10 minutes.
- Remove the cucumber slices and rinse your face.
You may complete the facial by applying a light moisturizer or oil to seal in the moisture.
